Job Description:

We are seeking a creative and energetic Social Media Executive to join our dynamic team. This is an exciting opportunity for freshers or individuals with up to 2 years of experience in social media and digital marketing. As a Social Media Executive, you will play a crucial role in managing and enhancing our online presence while learning and growing in a supportive environment.


Key Responsibilities as Social Media Executive

  1. Content Creation and Management:
    • Develop, curate, and schedule engaging content for social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and LinkedIn.
    • Collaborate with the design team to produce visually appealing graphics and videos.
  2. Social Media Strategy:
    • Assist in formulating social media strategies to boost brand awareness, audience engagement, and traffic.
  3. Community Management:
    • Monitor comments, messages, and trends on social media channels and respond promptly and professionally.
  4. Research and Analysis:
    • Conduct competitor research and stay updated with the latest trends and tools in social media.
    • Use analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Instagram Insights) to track performance and prepare monthly reports.
  5. Campaign Support:
    • Assist during online campaigns, events, and promotional activities.

Desired Candidate Profile:

  • Education: Any graduate/postgraduate, MBA/PGDM preferred.
  • Skills and Abilities:
    • Strong understanding of popular social media platforms and trends.
    • Excellent communication and writing skills in English.
    • Creative mindset with attention to detail.
    • Basic knowledge of tools like Canva, Hootsuite, Buffer, or similar.
    • Familiarity with analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics) is a plus.
    • Basic knowledge of video editing and social media ads (Facebook Ads, Instagram Ads) is advantageous.
  • Experience: Freshers or up to 2 years of experience in social media management.

I monitored the engagement, responded to queries, and tracked the event’s success through insights and analytics, which helped improve our future campaigns.

Answer:
I follow industry blogs, social media influencers, and platforms like Social Media Examiner and HubSpot to stay up-to-date with trends. Additionally, I stay active on social media to observe how brands engage with their audiences and notice any new features or updates on platforms like Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn.


4. How would you handle a situation where there’s negative feedback or a complaint on social media?

Answer:
In case of negative feedback, I would approach the situation with professionalism and empathy. First, I’d acknowledge the customer’s concern and apologize for their experience. I’d respond publicly to assure them that we take their feedback seriously, and then privately address the issue by offering a solution or directing them to the right team. It’s important to maintain the brand’s reputation and turn a negative experience into a positive one.


5. Can you tell us about a time when you created content for social media? How did you approach it?

Answer:
During a college event, I was responsible for creating social media content to promote the event. I started by understanding the event’s theme and the target audience. I then designed eye-catching graphics using Canva and wrote engaging captions. I planned the content calendar to ensure posts were made at optimal times. I also tracked the engagement of each post to understand what worked best and adjusted future posts accordingly.
