Job Description: Junior Data Scientist
Role Overview:
GeakMinds is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Junior Data Scientist to join our team. This is a full-time, permanent position, currently remote, but based in Chennai.
Key Responsibilities as Junior Data Scientist
- Work closely with senior data scientists and engineers to develop and deploy machine learning models.
- Analyze large datasets to extract actionable insights and build predictive models.
- Write complex SQL queries to retrieve, analyze, and manipulate data from various databases.
- Implement and optimize machine learning algorithms using Python.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into data science solutions.
- Stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in data science, machine learning, and artificial intelligence.
- Assist in the deployment of models in a cloud environment (Azure, AWS, or GCP).

Requirements: Junior Data Scientist
- 0 – 1 year of experience in Data Science or a related field.
- BE/B.Tech degree with a minimum of 80% in academics.
- Strong knowledge of data science concepts and machine learning modeling.
- Proficiency in Python for data analysis and machine learning.
- Experience or good knowledge of writing complex SQL queries.
- Good to have: Familiarity with cloud platforms such as Azure, GCP, or AWS.
