Job Overview:
As a Data Capture Associate I, you’ll join the Data Capture team, working within our proprietary software to transcribe and verify product data for our database platform. This entry-level role is crucial in ensuring that product information is accurately captured, meeting the high standards expected by our clients. You’ll work closely with your team to meet production goals and ensure data quality.
Key Responsibilities as Data Capture Associate
- Product Data Entry:
- Review product images to identify necessary information for accurate data capture.
- Select and complete the appropriate attributes for each product, ensuring the information matches the packaging and adheres to formatting standards.
- Achieve and maintain a 95% accuracy rate or higher in data entry.
- Quality Assurance:
- Proofread and verify the accuracy of product records according to Syndigo’s Data Capture guidelines.
- Contribute to the team’s goal of 100% accuracy in nutrition and ingredient information.
- Productivity Goals:
- Meet and strive to exceed minimum daily production goals, with a target of processing 45+ products per day.
- Assist the team in achieving a 99% on-time completion rate for tasks.
- Task Management:
- Regularly switch between tasks and services, achieving fluency in one core service area within 12 months.
- Participate in various service areas, including Intake Coding, Profiling, Custom Coding, and Multi-Language Coding.
- Audit posted product data for consistency and accuracy as needed.
- Adaptability:
- Adapt to changing technologies and requirements, and maintain flexibility in your schedule to align with production workflow.
- Typing and Language Proficiency:
- Maintain a minimum typing speed of 50+ words per minute in English.
- Familiarize yourself with various product types and brands to ensure accurate product processing.

- Strong oral and written English communication skills.
- High proficiency in reading comprehension, grammar, spelling, and analytical skills.
- Accuracy in using standard keyboard and data entry tools.
- Ability to adapt to new technologies and processes.
- Comfort with ambiguity and flexible in schedule to support production needs.
Recommended Skills: Data Capture Associate
- Typing speed of 50 WPM in English or higher.
- Knowledge of Spanish or French is a plus.
- Familiarity with US, North American, Canadian, and/or European consumer packaged goods (CPG) products and brands.
- Advanced proofreading skills and a proven high attention to detail.
